As both Realtors and Essential Businesses, we balance how to help people to achieve their real estate objectives while communicating the risks and helping clients to stay safe. Below, we have noted 3 frequently asked questions regarding viewing and listing homes. These answers are based on directives provided by the California Association of Realtors in their Guidelines for Real Estate Best Practices During COVID-19.FAQ 1: “I have found a home that I would like to make an offer on. Is it possible for me to view the property, or will I have to make an offer based on a virtual tour.”Answer: Always check your city and county guidelines; however, in many situations you are able to tour a home. However, understand that there are restrictions. For instance, you will be asked to observe social distancing guidelines and only one Realtor and no more than a group of two people may view a property at one time. If everyone is unable to maintain acceptable physical distancing within the property, you may need to take turns entering.  You will find everything you need to take into consideration in California Association of Realtors form PEAD  – Coronavirus Property Entry Advisory and Declaration. This form will be provided to you prior to you entering the property.FAQ 2: “As Real Estate is now considered an essential business, does that mean that I will still be able to meet with my Realtor in-person?”Answer: Current Physical Distancing guidelines still apply.
